Subject: Fire evacuation procedure

Kia Ora everyone,

I was left shocked after our fire drill on Thursday, multiple people had no idea where to go or how to react. this email is going to tell you what to do in case of an emergency fire evacuation. It's crucial that you all know exactly what to do in a situation like this, and it's important we all learn the appropriate procedure.

1. If the fire alarm goes off you must evacuate the building from the nearest fire exits immediately and wait in the main car park.

2. You are to stay in the car park until the Fire safety officer gives us the all-clear, you are not to leave or wander off until that all-clear is given.

3. make sure that you are NOT leaving items in front of fire exits, for example - chairs, tables, boxes, etc. It is unacceptable and illegal. Leaving things in the way of an exit could put you or another coworker's life at risk. So if you see something blocking an exit, remove it.

Hopefully, you all have a proper understanding of how to act in a dangerous situation like this. We will be having another drill at some point next week just to make sure you are all on the same page. If any of what I said is unclear or you don't understand, please let me know. I can not stress to you all enough about how important it is that you follow this procedure.

Subject: Recycling system Review/ update

Hi Jenny! just a quick update on how our new recycling program is going. So far the recycling bins are being used correctly and the staff has given me mostly positive feedback on our new system, however, of course, there are a few people that find this all a waste of time but they're still supporting and following our new workplace rules. The only issue we've encountered so far is the food bin is not being emptied often enough which is making it smelly, and there seems to be some confusion over which types of plastics are recyclable. I thought that we could schedule a meeting with all staff to educate them more about recycling and give them the knowledge they need in order for this new system to work. Overall it's looking really good :)

Hi Jack, first of all, thank you for contacting us and bringing awareness to this fault in our workplace, and secondly, I am so sorry that you had to experience this behavior from our staff, it is completely unacceptable and will be taken seriously. 

 Max, the employee you spoke to, has been given a formal warning and will attend further customer service training. There are no excuses for his behavior, we do not tolerate it in our workplace. We as a company are also at fault, we need to be more observant of our employee's behaviors and are looking into adding more extensive tasks to our staff training program for the future.

We will send you a $50.00 gift card to use at any department in our store and hope you decide to shop with us again. Once again, I apologize for the poor service you experienced. If there are any other ways we can improve our customer service please let us know.

My Visual Arts course this year will be focused on painting. I had a lot of fun doing painting last year, I felt that I could really do my own thing and produce Art that I loved creating, and had a lot of freedom with my ideas. My Kaupapa for the year will be Horror. This is one of my favourite genres in movies/books so drawing and painting some of my favourite scary things is going to be really fun. There are heaps of things that fall under the category of horror so I know i'll be kept busy, and I can get creative by adding a twist to non horror things to add more creativity to my board.

It’s okay to step out of your comfort zone, it’s okay to be different. Everyone’s unique in their own way.

• What is one event we see in the film that changes Charlie’s life forever? Why did you pick this event as a significant turning point for him?

The tunnel scene with Patrick and Sam, it was the moment he realized he really wasn’t alone and that in that moment he felt he belonged.

• Until the very end of the film, Charlie thought his Aunt Helen was one of his favourite people in the world. Why would he feel something like that, and why doesn’t he remember what she did to him?

She was the only one that he felt listened to him, she understood him. He felt guilty about her death and tried to forget. Was so traumatised that his brain tried to make him forget what happened and blurred it out from his memory.

Yes there were bad characters. Yes multiple, the film showed us different types of abuse. Physical, Mental and sexual.

The Matsé Tribe

In the last thirty years, the Matsés have become a largely settled tribe living mostly in forest settlements. They are a group of indigenous people of the Brazilian amazon. Their communities are located along the Javari River. As a tribe the Matsés are heavily involved in multiple agricultural projects and activities. Matsés healers have a deep understanding of how forest plants can be used to cure illness.To the Matsés, plants and animals have spirits just as humans do, and can ail or heal a human body. They've recently started to be open to communicating with the outside world, and be more involved with the modern communities, While of course still living their lifestyles. No longer living in isolation the Matsé tribe of the Amazon is starting to and will continue to grow.

Overall the research I did went really well. I gathered more then enough information about this topic, and gained a high level of new knowledge around the event.

Probably the one where we made a chorus to match a theme from a movie or TV show.

Performing, I didn't have much confidence with my music 

What advice would you give to the year 10 students 2019?

If you don't have any intent on actually participating on using instruments or performing, maybe take a different class. However if you are passionate about music and are keen to jump in and work hard, I recommend taking a look at it.

Reflection

Today Zavier drew our diagram and I continued researching, finishing our body writing. Him and I are working together fine, and we're up to date with most our work. We'll need to buckle down a little bit more and start Woking on presentation next lesson.

Today I mainly tried to focus on finishing my short Essay, I also began to create a diagram showing the order of events for the Earthquake and Tsunami. Unfortunately I strayed a little off topic but will clean it up next week. Overall was a pretty solid lesson.
