Drink Driving
In 2015 10,265 people died due to careless drunk driving. Millions of people are losing their lives. Not all at fault. Pedestrians are killed, children are killed, passengers are killed, innocent peoples lives are taken everyday. Especially in New Zealand. Yet we continue to sell and allow people to drive under the influence of alcohol. It is a disease that's spreading, and spreading fast.
We want to bring awareness and help people, teenagers especially to wake up and realise that this could happen to anyone. Whether you're the one behind the wheel or not. We want to get a speaker in to talk to all of us, especially the year 10's as they're getting to the age where this puts them at just as much risk as anyone else. We also would like to make pamphlets/posters and mail them to the houses around our community.
Overall this is a topic i'm very passionate about. It needs to stop. Too many people are losing there lives to something so avoidable.
