Sexxy Paragraphs.

In English, we were working in groups to form Sexxy Paragraphs to explain the overall plot and structure of ‘The Power Of One’.

1. The director uses a Longshot to highlight everything going on in this scene.

2. The angle of this long shot is focusing on Sergeant Borman’s legs with Geel Piet ahead of him, suggesting there’s going to be a confrontation.

3. The Director’s purpose was to show inferiority and superiority. It shows from the angle that Sargeant is superior while Geel Piet is inferior.

4. The angle and position of the camera make it clear to the audience that there is going to be some kind of confrontation. This right away makes the viewers nervous. We knew Geel Piet was guilty of holding the tobacco, we’re automatically scared and panicked for him. We feel utter sympathy for Geel Piet although we know he’s broken the rules.

5. You can link this to the scene where Geel piet got beaten by Sargeant Borman.

Tech and Change

We've recently been looking into and doing research on technology and how it's changed the way we do things and the way we act. Our google slide pinpoint and address everything from how the tech itself has changed, to how it's changed us. For example me and my work partner show how we went from reading news papers to watching live action news on our televisions, how we went from reading books, to watching movies, washing our clothes with our bare hands to putting them in machines, and possibly the biggest change is how we went from using telephones to using cellphones that literally have the answer to almost everything behind a screen. Tech has changed almost everything around us, whether it's for better or for worse is yet to be known.

The actual definition for 'Technology' is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry.

Chicken Dissection

Chicken dissection
Place the chicken leg on the dissecting tray and examine at the exterior features. The tough outer later is called the epidermis. The small bumps covering the skin are where the feathers were attached.
Examine the lower leg. This is called the drum stick and it is the equivalent of your lower leg. The large muscle at the back of the leg is the same as your gastrocnemius. It also includes 2 bones. The tibia and the Fibula.
Examine the upper leg. On both a chicken and a human this part is called the thigh. It contains a large bone called the femur.
Carefully pull the skin by sliding it done and off the lower leg. You may need to use your scalpel to remove it, but he careful not to cut any muscle tissue.
The yellowish material under the skin is fat.
The muscles of the egg, like all muscles, work in bundles. Separate a bundle of muscle by inserting your thumb into the muscles of the lower leg. You will notice that the muscle bundle is covered in a silvery lining called the fascia and this makes it hard to separate. But if you push hard enough you will tear it and find that separating muscle bundles is a lot easier.
At either end of the muscles, you will see the white cord like tissue. These cords are called tendons. Tendons attach muscle to bone.
Using the scalpel, carefully remove all the muscle from the lower leg. Using your dissection probe to examine any blood vessels you find and try to determine which muscles blood is supplied to.
Near the bone you should see thin, thread like strands. These are nerves.
Using the dissection scissors, cut across the tendons that join the muscles to the bones. Be careful not to cut any ligaments that attach bone to bone. You should end up with all the bones still attached to each other, but no muscle tissue present.
Move the bones around the joints. The main joint between the bones of the lower leg and the fur is  a hinge joint like the one in your knee. Note how the bones can move only in one plane.
Use your scalpel, carefully cut the ligaments, keeping the bones together.
In the joint between the bones is a piece of cartilage. Cartilage allows joints to move smoothly and protects the bones against shock to the body.
Break one bone in half and examine the marrow. This is where the blood cells are made.
Clean up your work area. Ensure you clean your bench using antibacterial spray. Wash your hounds thoroughly with plenty of antibacterial soap and water.

Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist, humanitarian and an armed scout and spy for the United states army during the American civil war.

Tubman escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people family and friends.

In April 2016, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that Harriet Tubman would replace Andrew Jackson on the center of a new $20 bill. The announcement came after the Treasury Department received a groundswell of public comments, following Women on 20s’ campaign calling for a notable American woman to appear on U.S. currency. “Secretary Lew’s choice of the freed slave and freedom fighter Harriet Tubman to one day feature on the $20 note is an exciting one, especially given that she emerged as the choice of more than half a million voters in our online poll last Spring,” Women on 20s stated on its website. “Not only did she devote her life to racial equality, she fought for women’s rights alongside the nation’s leading suffragists.
